I have always enjoyed embroidery and sewing. I love Queen's Favors because they are small projects that are possible to complete in a reasonable amount of time.
I try to complete a dozen favors for each Queen since I have officially joined the SCA. Unfortunately the pandemic and my father's illness and death, and I was unable to do favors for Alberic (although I did start some, but only finished the embroidery for one or two) or Honig II.
Delivered in two sets of 6. Of course, I only have pictures of one set. Simple outlines in stem stitch, chain stitch, and couching. Standard DMC floss on 100% Cotton.
I was only up to embroidering three. Stem stitch, back stitch, couching, chain stitch, satin stitch. DMC Floss on poly/cotton, couching with silk thread. The other 9 were painted craft paint.
I still hate fill stitches. Outlining is all I had. The one filled was cloister stitch. All other are stem stitch, chain stitch, and long and short stitch. DMC Floss on poly/cotton. Poly/cotton is always a mistake, but it was the closest color match.
I keep forgetting I hate fill stitches. The one filled was stem stitch. I then gave up and went with applique. DMC floss on 100% Cotton. Applique was also 100% cotton. Regular seed beads for some of the points.
My now standard applique with quilters cotton and DMC floss. The sanskrit I was traced with Sharpie. Most of the jackalopes were stem stitch. I did one in split stitch to remind myself why I hate split stitch.
